In this episode, the Newslaundry team is joined by #Sukirat, a writer, columnist, and trustee of left-leaning newspaper #NawanZamana. He talks about communal politics in #Punjab and why it’s hard to pit #Sikhs against #Muslims in the way Hindus and Muslims have been divided in some parts of the country. Sukirat Anand speaks on cases of "#beadbi", or sacrilege, and the silence around it, as well as extreme elements in Punjab.

They also discuss why the left is non-existent in Punjab, and how it’s waning across the country.
