The 2019 general (Parliamentary) election in India seems to be the most expensive election ever, anywhere. The estimates [of $8.65 billion] in this report by Centre for Media Studies (CMS) are based on traceable expenses. There is need to seriously deliberate this poll expenditure phenomena.
